This major role for the actress helped her to remain on the screen for two years. She starred in Vanishing Son in 1993 and 1994, an action packed series. In 1994, she starred in 21 episodes of Earth 2, where she played Bess Martin. This television series focused on a group of expeditionary people who journey to a planet like earth. It starred Debrah Farentino, Jessica Steen, Joey Zimmerman and Clancy Brown among others.

Rebecca Gayheart continued her television appearances when she was cast as Antonia Marchette in the popular television program Beverly Hills, 90210. She starred as Luke Perry's love interest in a reoccurring role. She also appeared in other television programs including Sliders, Invasion, Hercules, and Wasteland. In 2004, she was in three episodes of Nip/Tuck. She also appeared in Vanished in 2006 for 13 episodes, CSI: Miami, Ugly Betty and The Cleaner. In 2008, Rebecca Gayheart starred in Boeing-Boeing, a Broadway Comedy that starred Christine Baranski, Mark Rylance and Greg Germann.
